Abdominal Pain

Postnatal Lower abdominal Pain

Postnatal lower abdominal pain is common and can be caused by your hip flexors that have become tight and sore. During pregnancy your pelvic tilts forward and this triggers your hip flexors to shorten and tighten. It is very important to normalize the function and length of your hip flexors prior to beginning a postnatal exercise program. Tight hip flexors can lead to a range of conditions including back pain, hip pain and abdominal pain.
