Referring Physicians

Hemmett Health takes pride in trying to make the patient experience as transparent and simple as possible. Communication is important and starts with making the referral process as simple as possible and continues with communicating the results of the initial examination and ends with communicating the discharge of the patient.   If we can improve in our communication process at all, please ask and we will do everything we can to accommodate those requests.

We realize all health care providers are very busy and we want to make a referral as easy as possible to perform. We are happy to modify our referral process to integrate with your practice’s existing referral process. We can provide referral pads, your office can contact our office to schedule for the patient or your office can provide the patient’s contact information and we can contact the patient directly to schedule.

We are also happy to come to your office to give mini presentations on a variety of NMS topics and therapies. We have done this many times in the past and many providers have found it to be a helpful way of learning about therapy options for your patients.

What do our current referring Physicians have to say? Read Jennie Lowell, MD’s Letter

We have given talks and hands on demonstrations to OBGYNS, PCPs and other health care providers on:

  • Anatomy of the pelvic floor
  • How to palpate the pelvic floor musculature and how to differentiate hypertonic from hypotonic
  • How to palpate the psoas muscle and determine if it is a possible cause of lower quadrant pain
  • Common pregnancy pain syndromes and guidelines for home recommendations or referral
  • Manual medical technique for breech presentation

Please contact our office and ask and we will be happy to set something up, or download the Provider In-service Form below.
